SSA Convention 2026?

Hi there in US-Gliderland!

Does anyone have any knowledge about when and where the SSA convention is going to be held in 2026 or if there is going to be a convention at all?

I could not find anything on the SSA website nor in the magazine.

The SSA Conventions are conducted every two years. The most recent one was in 2024, so the next one will be in 2026. The 2024 Convention was held in October. Traditionally it had been scheduled in February, but it was hoped that the weather would be more favorable in October. That seemed to work in 2024, but I do now know for certain that a decision has been made about what month in 2026 will be chosen. Also traditionally, the event location was rotated from 'east' to 'west.' Last year's show was in Tennessee, so the 2026 show may be somewhere in the western US. Reno has been the location for several of the past 'western' show locations. Reno has a lot of advantages for the SSA, if were a betting man, I'd be betting on the show being held in Reno sometime in October 2026.
