Greetings,

I have an S10 in the glider which I recently bought.   The AHRS shows a slight roll when in the hangar and wings level.   I looked at the manual section 5.7.13.6 and tried "align gyros", but the indicated roll persists.   Does the indicated roll either sort itself out when flying or perhaps I need to "align gyros" when I"m flying?   Seems odd that it doesn't zero out in the hangar.   Ideas?

Thanks,

Mark

Try this:
Select ReSet Gyros to start from scratch
I think you need to raise tail to the rough weighing position and select LEVEL
*note*
During flight you can also adjust pitch with the lower rotary knob

Nick,

Thanks.   I did try reset gyros, and a couple other options, but the indicated roll persists.   It's not a lot, but I'd like it to show level...

I know it seems obvious, but have you placed a spirit level across the canopy rails? Believe me, not all hangar floors are level.

Mark,

Thanks.  Yep, I used a digital level in the manner which you described.   0.1 degree which should be close enough.

I received a direct response and it appears there may not be any software adjustment for roll.   That may require physically rotating the instrument in the panel which may require enlarging or slotting the mounting holes.

That doesn't sound right at all. LXNAV is a company I would expect to have a way to correct the AHRS alignment. Otherwise, it sounds like somehow the internal gyros are off.
