Meeting Synopsis: With tongue firmly in cheek Dr. Dan (as he likes to be known) helps you understand how to "crash confidently". Actually, Dan does NOT want you to crash. What he wants is for you to understand the foibles of our human body which can play tricks on us. And how these tricks can interfere with a successful landing ... and how to successfully NOT crash!
Speaker: Dr Dan Johnson
Biography: Dr. Dan describes himself a simple rural internist (retired) who has always been fascinated by the nuances of medicine and flight. For several years Dan wrote a monthly column in Soaring magazine on physiologic topics relevant to flight. He has also presented at many SSA conventions on a wide range of topics. Dan is a retired DME/AME. He plans to define something useful to talk about before February 9th which will be interesting, informative, entertaining, and somehow related to soaring and gliding.
