Our Arcus M, now ten years old, has a gear door which opens when we thermal, confirmed by others in the gaggle.  It creates a lot of distracting noise in the cockpit and additional drag, then suddenly snaps shut with a bang.
Have anyone else experienced this problem ?  Any suggestions on how to fix ?  Sronger bungee cord ?  Replace springs ?

Any replies and suggestions are most welcome.

Keep the string straight!

Beyond that, cheap/easy, lots of times you can shorten the bungees a bit for more tension, but it lasts maybe a season. Final fix is new bungee.

Common problem as gliders age.  Replace the bungees or springs. Best done while glider is disassembled (so you can test gear retraction).
