It would be expensive, but so nice - low vibration, increased reliability, no fuel smell, etc. I imagine the upgrade would require shipping the sailplane to DG in Germany.

Replace that hard to find parts for Rotax 505 in your DG.

We will retrofit the RES drive unit to existing aircraft in the future. We are currently planning to retrofit the electric drive unit to aircraft in the DG-400 and DG-800A series. You can already secure an option now (with a down payment) and take to the skies with your electric aircraft in the near future!
