Cobra trailer top gas struts

 I once had a company, STRUTWISE, I think in Canada, rebuild my Cobra Top gas struts/ springs at a reasonable cost.

Are they in business?

 can't find them right now

Anyone else in the USA rebuilding Gas Struts?

I need a set recharged/ serviced.

Google Custom Gas Springs and you will get many to chose from.   The important thing is newtons,  extended length and retracted length.  Most have 5mm or 8mm end fittings.

The basic dimensions you need are:

22 mm tube

10 mm rod

500 mm stroke

8 mm x 1.25 mm pitch thread on both ends

603 mm (approximate) tube length

Force in Newtons (900 N to 1300 N)

1123 mm overall length (including the threaded ends but NOT the eye fittings)

These numbers are for the struts on a single-seat Cobra glider trailer. Two-sete glider trailers take larger diameter, and longer struts.

I found replacements at Easylift in Florida. I have ordered a set for Nick, along with some others to keep in stock. I have replaced a number of these struts for pilots based at, or visiting Moriarty, so I like to keep some on hand.
