I’ve followed the Toyota solid-state battery development for several years. It was and at last check was still two to three years away. I don’t know what the solution will be but Honda has given itself five years to get solid-state batteries into production and it wouldn’t surprise me if two or three years from now it’s still five years out.

 

I hope that SS batteries do come to pass in five years because by then in all likelihood I’ll be too old to fly but I might have the option to sell my V3E with improved SS batteries.
