Hi all,

I entered  http://raspberryshake.local:5000 into chrome and an error came, then i check the ip of raspberry shake and entered IP:5000 and http://IP:5000. That error came again. Some useful informations are as follows:

I can ping the IP and no packet lose.

I've update the raspberryshake.

My computer system is Win7.

Hi Chen:

Thank you for the details. What is the IP? Does it start with 169?

Please send the logs from /opt/logs/*

Branden

Good morning Chen:

In the postboot.log file I see that your unit does not have an Internet connection. Once you can secure an Internet connection (which is currently determined by pinging 8.8.8.8 (google)), you should be good to go.

Hi Branden,

Thank you for your reply. The shake have an Internet connection and it can ping 8.8.8.8. In the postboot file i notice that  the unit couldnt find active interface. Does it relate to the problem? The new log files can be download from https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxEIvFkM_UDjX21ZVWFJbHZnQjQ.

This is good news. And good morning.

Please send me the output of:

Also, please reboot the unit and then send me the new postboot.log file.

Good evening.

On the contrary, thank you for your patience.

I am stumped. You clearly have a valid IP on eth0 and you can ping google on 8.8.8.8. So there are no internet connection problems that I can see yet postboot thinks otherwise.

Let me think about this and then get back to you.

We think you found a bug :) and Yunior has proposed a possible work around but it needs to be tested. Would you mind testing it for us?:

Step 1:

$ sudo nano /usr/local/bin/postboot.rshake

Edit line 69

 ip=$(ifconfig $i | awk -F: '$1 ~ /inet addr/ && $2 !~ /^127\./ && $2 !~ /^169\./ && $2 !~ /^172\./ { gsub(/ .*/, "", $2); print $2; }')

change to:

ip=$(ifconfig $i | awk -F: '$1 ~ /inet addr/ && $2 !~ /^127\./ && $2 !~ /^169\./ && $2 !~ /^172.17\./ { gsub(/ .*/, "", $2); print $2; }')

$ sudo reboot; exit

Hi Branden:

Another problem occurs: i cant see my shake on Station View. Is it relate to the firewall issues? We did some changes to our router setting, does it enough? Anything else should i do? I attach some new log files.

Regards.

I think I'm seeing the same problem. I'm at work, on a 172.26.x.x/16 network and the RS gets an ip, is pingable, and can ping 8.8.8.8, but I can't hit it in Chrome with the raspberryshake.local:5000, or its IP:5000.  I'll be taking it home in a few hours where it'll stay, and that network is a regular 192.168.1.x/24 - So I won't be performing the workaround steps due to limited time, but I'll update if it still doesn't work when I get it home.

Great. Thank you for this confirmation. Would you mind sending me postboot.log to confirm?

(I can ping, ssh, WinSCP to raspberryshake.local or its 172.26.3.224/16 ip - I just can't hit the web interface on port 5000.

And here's the upgrade.log, just in case...

Excellent. Thank you. Yes, this is the exact same bug.

We will squash this bug in the next update.
