The IRIS software program "jAmaSeis" is now Raspberry Shake-compatible!
Years ago the Incorporated Research Institutes for Seismology (IRIS) rolled out a spectacular software package for locating earthquakes called jAmaSeis for their school seismology program. Thanks to IRIS, OSOP was able to fund the changes needed to make jAmaSeis Raspberry Shake-compatible. Many thanks also to Kevin and Paul at ISTI for implementing those changes.

Download and starting playing with jAmaSeis today:http://www.iris.edu/hq/jamaseis/. You will just need to put in your name and email address to start downloading.
Update on the Raspberry Shake 3D

The Raspberry Shake 3D seismograph is the second in what we hope will become a large family of Raspberry Shake seismographs. The 3D version extends the Raspberry Shake seismograph from one 24-bit vertical channel at 50 sps to 3 orthogonal 24-bit channels at twice the sample rate with twice the timing accuracy (100 sps, +/- 10 ms). You can now measure the entire wave field!

We are currently on schedule and working hard to fulfill the many orders for the new 3D version. Many more new seismographs and earth motion monitoring gizmos are making their way through our R&D studio. Ángel, Branden and the whole team are super busy!

OK, is that the actual IP of your Raspberry Shake? Can you confirm this via the Raspberry Shake's web interface?

OK, you have officially embarrassed me.  I don't know what you mean by "Raspberry Shake's web interface."  YES, that is my IP address for the shake.  I have WinSDR running now using that address.  Oh Oh!  My IP address has changed again.  Last three numbers are 136 now.  I could not PING the 137.  Beats me why the IP flip flops.  I'll retry.  THANKS

jAmaSeis is working fine.  Should the Lat/Long etc. be entered too?

Hahahaha. Jerry, I love working with you because you are so lighthearted.

Semantics suck eh? By the "web interface" I meant the web front end where you configure your Raspberry Shake. The one that runs on port 5000.
