Ichanged the password used to access my gmail account. Thunderbird is still using the old password to access the account. How do I change the password that Thunderbird is using. The last time this happened I ended up creating a new Thunderbird account for gmail. Creating the new Thunderbird account at least let me enter the new password. I really don't want to have three Thunderbird accounts for the same gmail account.

Please do not respond with suggestions about using Password Manager. I do not use it and do not intend to start. I looked and none of my Thunderbird passwords are displayed there. All I want to do is change the password in Thunderbird. If Thunderbird does not have a feature allowing you to change it's passwords, one should be added.

You have to say you actually want it to SHOW you the passwords, and then you can delete them.Once you actually check for mail, it will tell you it failed, and then you have the option to enter a new password.WAY too complicated. Time to put the password, and the ability to change it, in the mail account options.

That doesn't really help and isn't what I want to do. Saved Thunderbird passwords can be viewed from tools>options>Security>Saved Passwords. The dialog that this opens displays all mailbox and smtp accounts know to Thunderbird and the passwords associated with each. I want to change these, not passwords saved in Firefox.

This is all good until I get to the box that says "enter password to your account" While it allows me to enter my new gmail password, there is NO checkbox telling Thunderbird to save the new password.

A complex password that includes at least one number, one special character, one uppercase letter, and one lowercase letter has 430 trillion possible combinations and would take a computer 34,000 years to crack.

Computer security company McAfee suggests changing your passwords every three months. Set a reminder in your calendar, or habit stack and implement the routine with another quarterly task, such as changing your passwords every time you change your HVAC filters.

Phishing emails are designed to steal your personal information or break into your online accounts. They often impersonate a reputable organization or sender, asserting that you need to update your banking details or edit your delivery address for Amazon ASAP.

I log into Ogame using my Gmail. When i first joined the Volans server it gave me an auto generated name, but when i try to change my name, none of my passwords apparently work to help confirm the name change - not even my Gmail password.

The google provisioning API guide has updateUser method which takes a UserEntry object. You can use it to update the password I suppose, you will have to try it out. Check the javadocs for definition of UserEntry

Uh, just use an http client to post this web page: Use -3.x/ or something similar. You'll need to keep track of cookies properly, so google thinks you are logged in when you load the page. But yeah, obviously it is possible. If your browser can do it, you can do it programmatically through sending http requests. If you want to be double careful, you can use something like tamperdata in firefox to sniff exactly what your browser sends when you request a password change, so you don't miss any silent fields or whatnot.

All students have a random four numeric digit appended to the prefix of their SDSUid. This is to differentiate between faculty/staff accounts and student accounts. These numbers cannot be removed or changed.

Please make sure your password meets the following criteria for complexity: A minimum of 10 characters. Your password must include at least 1 character from each of the following sets: uppercase, lowercase, numerical, and special character. Passwords cannot be reused.

Students may visit the Name and Gender Change Procedures website to learn more about the process. Going through the previous procedure only affects your display name, and not your SDSUid. Your SDSUid will remain the same.

Non-ASCII characters are not passed through to the SDSUid account at this time. The IT Division is reviewing this limitation and is considering adding support for special characters in the first, last, and display-name fields.

I'm currently facing an issue related to user account creation and password enforcement in my Moodle site. When an Admin creates a new account and sends an email with a password, there is an option to enforce a password change upon the user's first login. This ensures that users change their password after signing in for the first time.

In my Moodle site, users have two options to sign in: using a username and password or through Gmail authentication. Currently, the password change is enforced for both sign-in options. However, I would like to restrict the password change requirement to only apply when signing in with a username and password. When users sign in with Gmail, it should not prompt them to change their password.

The "forcepasswordchange" field is set to 1 when the admin creates a user using the method described above. Unfortunately, I cannot set it to 0, as that would remove the password change requirement even for users who sign in with a username and password.

I attempted to address this by adding an optional parameter in the "complete_user_login()" function located in moodlelib.php. The parameter is a boolean value indicating whether the function was called from Oauth2 or not. I modified the code within "complete_user_login()" to prevent the password change enforcement when this parameter is true. However, this approach did not yield the desired results.

I conducted a search throughout the codebase to identify where the password change enforcement is determined. I made some modifications to the code in both "require_login()" and "complete_user_login()", which are responsible for checking whether the password change should be enforced or not. After commenting out the relevant code, the system no longer prompted for a password change in either of the cases. I still want a password enforcement in the case where user signs in with username and password.

For the past several months, I have tried setting up my MF644CDW to scan to email. I've followed the instructions to the best of my ability, and read a number of posts on here... and yet, I'm still stuck. Turning to this forum in the hopes someone has cracked the code.

Yeah I have the same issue- spent tons of money on a scanner i can NOT figure out how to set up- I can't even set up the remote UI properly- the IP page wont load plus even when I did do that part before I could never get it to work.

To check the error code for Scan to Email, you can print the Communication Management Report using the operation panel of your Color imageCLASS MF644Cdw. Keep in mind that the report printed for e-mail/I-Fax indicate the transmission result between the MF644Cdw and the mail server, not between the MF644Cdw and the destination address. Follow the process below to print the Communication Management Report:

I was able to finally get this to work by setting up 2 factor id on my gmail account even though I didn't really want it and then set up the app password and used that. Otherwise I hade done everything ckaas88 mentioned and none of it worked. Now it works.
