Please see below about new information that Governor Pritzker is likely going to sign SB 1950 into law tomorrow, which would legalize assisted suicide in Illinois.

You can call the governor’s office to voice your opposition at 312-814-2121

Please pray for a miracle that this does not happen!

Dear Friends of Life & Dignity,

Due to a media leak, we have heard the unfortunate news that Gov. J.B. Pritzker will likely sign the assisted suicide bill SB 1950 into law this Friday, Dec. 12, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas.

Anticipating this, the Catholic Conference of Illinois sent a letter to the Governor yesterday, asking him for a veto. The letter, signed by all six bishops of Illinois, is attached below.

With that, we do not cease to pray for a conversion of heart; for the healing of wounded, bitter, and misguided souls; for the safety of vulnerable persons; and for this bill to be vetoed instead of signed.

We urgently invite you to join us in praying for these intentions and for God to have mercy on the state of Illinois.

Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace, have mercy on us and on the whole world!
