This Saturday, April 18, from 9 am-5 pm, Schoenstatt Families will host a conference titled Mental Health in Catholic Family Life: Cultivating Hope and Communion Under Mary's Mantle at the International Schoenstatt Retreat Center. The Keynote speaker is Beth Hlabse from the McGrath Institute for Church Life. Read about the upcoming conference here. To register, visit the Event Calendar listing.
The presentation and Q&A will reflect on mental problems within marriage and family life overall: What is mental health? Why do we suffer? How do we heal? Insights from various authors, among them Father Joseph Kentenich, the founder of the Schoenstatt Movement, will also inspire the dialogue in the afternoon.
The conference begins with praying the Rosary, followed by the keynote presentation, small group discussion, lunch, Confession and Adoration, a testimonial and more discussion, coffee break, recap and takeaways, followed by Mass.
If you are unable to attend in person, an option to watch the keynote talk online is available by registering here.
