Subject: HB 3355 (Universal Vote by Mail) is BACK - Please file a witness slip in opposition tonight

Witness slips (in opposition!) must be filed BEFORE 2 pm Tuesday, February 24.  

Kindly send this request to all others who will help-- we'd like thousands more witness

slips filed. There are currently 3939 filed in opposition. 

Illinois General Assembly - Create Witness Slip

This legislation will turn Illinois into a Universal Vote by Mail state. Illinois would be like California, Colorado,

Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, and Washington where all voters on the not so accurate voter rolls

would automatically receive a LIVE BALLOT, EVERY ELECTION without requesting one. The IL bill says it’s

 

“optional” as Election Authority “may elect to mail a VBM ballot” to everyone on that election jurisdiction's 

voter rolls – instead of sending any notices and/or applications. Voters will have to OPT OUT in writing if they

 

DO NOT want to automatically receive a LIVE BALLOT.

Remember:  --- No punctuation allowed (such as a period after Ave. or Mrs.)

                       After choosing OPPOSITION, you must click on the ADD POSITION black box below

                                       (Your position will appear to the right with a red circle in front of it)

                       

                       "Business" and "Representation" can be SELF, unless you represent a club or business

                       Check "Record of appearance only" unless you plan to be present and speak

                       If you change anything, be sure to once more check "I agree" at bottom left
