Dear Diana,
The fight just got very real in Springfield.
Radical lawmakers are preparing the next wave of abortion legislation -- including a Constitutional Amendment, taxpayer-funded abortion expansion, and mobile abortion clinics statewide!
Once these policies are locked in, reversing them becomes exponentially harder -- maybe impossible.
Please read the email below carefully so you understand exactly what’s coming at us.
Then sign your “STOP THE ABORTION AGENDA!” petition immediately and include a generous donation to help Illinois Pro-Life Action push back before these bills gain real momentum.
We can stop this -- but only if pro-life Illinoisans act immediately.
-- Ben
Dear Diana,
The 2026 meeting of the Illinois General Assembly is underway in Springfield, I need to make sure you know exactly what’s coming -- because it’s not good.
In my 10+ years of fighting for the unborn, I have rarely seen a moment as dangerous or as decisive as the one now in front of us.
What is coming this session is the next wave of abortion legislation that the abortion lobby has been planning ever since 2019, and it is being rolled out all at once!
More on that shortly.
While most Illinoisans remain deeply pro-life at heart, the political class operating in Springfield no longer reflects those beliefs -- and many are fighting against us.
The coalition pushing abortion policy today is more aggressive, more ideological, and far less restrained than what we faced even a few years ago!
We cannot afford complacency and we cannot rely on quiet assurances that someone else will stop this behind closed doors. Too much is at stake, and the margin for error is razor thin.
So, please read this letter carefully so you understand exactly what Illinois Pro-Life Action is up against in the weeks ahead, then sign and return your petitions immediately!
Your signed petitions send a clear warning to lawmakers that advancing abortion policy comes with political consequences, and that voters are watching closely as the 2026 election cycle approaches.
While the abortion lobby has a long list of priorities this session, there are three threats they are pushing harder than any others:
- Constitutional Abortion Amendment;
First, Democrats are pushing the constitutional amendment to permanently enshrine abortion as a “right” in the Illinois state constitution!
If passed, it would override existing law, strip future legislatures of authority, and lock unlimited abortion into our constitution for generations.
We stopped this last year and we must do it again!
- Taxpayer-Funded Abortion Clinics;
Second, lawmakers want new programs to use your taxpayer dollars to expand and build new abortion clinics across Illinois –- whether you like it or not!
The branding is deceptive, but the goal is clear: force Illinoisans to fund abortion through state- backed construction and operations.
Once these funding streams exist, they never shrink. They grow quietly, year after year, hidden in budgets and shielded from accountability.
- Mobile Abortion Clinics;
Third, there’s a new push to unleash mobile abortion clinics statewide.
These units are designed to dodge local opposition, bypass zoning laws which would not allow regular clinics, and bring abortion into communities that never consented.
By putting abortion on wheels, activists aim to normalize killing babies in parking lots, and right on the street side in rural towns across Illinois.Taken together, these three initiatives represent a coordinated attempt to permanently reshape Illinois’s abortion laws and take the lives of hundreds of thousands of unborn children in years to come!
The purpose of these bills is not “compromise.”
It is entrenchment.
And the test is whether pro-life Illinoisans will respond forcefully now or remain silent while these measures advance!
We have seen how quickly things can change in other states when pro-lifers assume bad policy could never happen close to home.
If these bills receive hearings and move forward, stopping them becomes exponentially more difficult.
That is why immediate grassroots pressure is essential!
ILPLA is already preparing to mobilize on multiple fronts, including targeted messaging to pro-life voters, pressuring weak legislators, and statewide efforts to expose what these bills would actually do so we can shut them down.
But we cannot do this alone.
To meet the scale of the threat before us, we must have the resources to act quickly, and in a way that will have the biggest impact!
That is why I am asking you, as a committed supporter of life, to not only sign and return your petitions today, but to include a generous donation to help fund this fight!
Your donation today helps us flood targeted districts with pro-life messaging before hearings begin!
We are not backed by national corporations or ideological billionaires. Our strength comes from Illinoisans who believe every life has value and who are willing to stand up when it matters most.
Some supporters have been able to make significant commitments of $250, $500, $1,000 or more to help us confront the abortion lobby this session.
If that is within your means, I ask you to give boldly today!
Every dollar helps us amplify the pro-life message, expose radical policies, and remind lawmakers that they answer to voters and to God, not special interests.
The decisions made in the coming months will shape Illinois’s future for decades. We must not look back and wish we had done more when we had the chance.
Please sign your petition immediately and include the most generous contribution you can afford!
For the unborn, and for Illinois’ future, we must act now.
For the Babies,
Ben Dorr
Executive Director
