Dear Mary,
There's a crucial opportunity
before us -- for a big win for homeschooling families -- and I want to
make sure you know about it!
A bill has been filed in D.C. by Congressman Mark Harris,
from North Carolina’s 8th Congressional District, to revoke the NEA’s
federal charter; H.R.
4450.
What does that have to do with
homeschoolers?
In recent years, the NEA (National Education Association) has
grown from a so-called “educational organization” into the largest
labor union in America -- and now it operates entirely as a
left-leaning political force bent on destroying home
education.
❌ They have been the driving force behind the worst
legislation targeting homeschoolers both in D.C. and in states across
the country.
Laws to “track, trace, and regulate,”
homeschoolers -- many of which were introduced this year in blue and
purple states -- are mostly authored by politicians who are in the
pocket of the NEA.
As you can see, the National
Indoctrination
Association is a total enemy to education freedom.
That’s why this bill is so
important.
H.R. 4450 strips federal
recognition from one of the country’s most powerful political unions,
sends a clear message that Congress shouldn’t bless partisan education
activism, and reinforces that parents -- not government-favored unions
-- are the rightful authority over their children’s
education.
That’s
why we’re asking everyone who supports homeschooling to take a moment
and send a pre-written email to YOUR Congress member telling them to
Co-Sponsor Congressman Harris’ H.R. 4450 and help get it
passed!
 It's hard to
fight an enemy you can't see, which is why the NEA has worked behind
the scenes for so long. This bill would help to stop that and protect
homeschoolers, no matter where you live.
That’s why every homeschooler in
the Homeschool Freedom Army needs to take action to support this
legislation.
What You Can Do Right Now:
-
Send the pre-written email to your U.S. Representative --
telling them to vote YES on H.R. 4450.
-
Stay engaged. If
you're able, please chip in $75, $50, or $15. Every single donation
helps us reach more homeschoolers and mobilize in support of this
legislation!
