Hi Raptors,

I hope your summer is off to a good start.  The Raptors have numerous summer projects that we need your help with.

On Thursday, July 6, the Optimist Club will be having their annual duck race.  We received a $500 grant from the Optimist Club this spring with the understanding that we would construct 10 motorized ducks for the duck race.  The Optimist Club also would like us to provide 10 student drivers for the duck race.

We hope to finish the duck construction by Monday, June 26.  We need your help!  The build room will be open on Friday, June 23 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm and on Saturday, June 24 starting at 10 am.  This is a great opportunity for younger students to get involved in a hands-on project.

Students can sign up as student drivers here:  https://goo.gl/forms/NwI8Ds7TUcldjska2.

The Raptors have also been asked to help at the Cherry Festival of Races on Saturday, July 8.  We will be working at the finish line from 6 am - 9 am.  We will be paid for volunteering.

We also have an opportunity of helping at the MCTM conference at Traverse City West HS on Monday, July 24.  More details to follow.

Finally, we have been invited to participate in Friday Night Live on Friday, August 18.

Please help with the duck project!  Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

John Failor

Hi everyone!

Just a reminder that the end of year banquet is tomorrow (Saturday) at 6:00 p.m. at the Sears house.  In case you haven't seen it on Slack (and shame on you, if you haven't!), please see the below signup for what's still needed.

Thanks for helping us put this together!  Oh, by the way, if we't not home from softball yet, please have a seat on the deck and relax.  LOL.

Tracie
