Just curious, how do you compare what you are developing / what
advantages / disadvantages / etc. to the super memo 'web' version:

Hi,

1. SuperMemo.net is not free. This is a store which is selling
commercial courses. Memorize-it.net is going to provide free learning
service.

2. Our site will focus on the community and collaboration. There is an
idea to build together a Wikipedia-like knowledge base for flashcard
software with ready courses which are free and of decent quality.

3. Products from SuperMemo are behind the times and do not evolve. We
are trying to build a better tool and we are open for ideas.

Disadvantages? SuperMemo has developed a good algorithm which will be
hard to beat. We are planning to use neural networks here but we need
to collect some data first in order to choose a proper configuration.

Cheers,
Adam

Selling commercial courses is one of options in the supermemo.net.
There are a lot of functionalities (creating your own learning
content).

Take a look at http://beta.supermemo.net.pl - their new version..

You're right, but by the way they are implemented it seems that the
other functionalities have rather minor importance for SuperMemo's
creators.

Interesting. Indeed, it is a kind of step forward, but rather in terms
of using JavaScript. I don't see any breakthrough improvements for the
user.

Well, what I can say about new SuperMemo interface, it is just less
bad than the old one. We are preparing some earth-shaking improvements
in the user interface. Also we are considering giving away some
commercial quality databases (like SuperMemo does have) just for free,
with some additional (!) functionality if purchased.
Cheers
