Rapidsms installation on Ubuntu12.04 LTS with HiLink modem

Hi guys

I'm following the steps at http://infoactivist.net/category/rapidsms/ to try and get rapidsms with Rapidsms-Xforms

But i'm failing to configure the USB modem (pre-configured to run with HiLink) to run as a modem

Anyone know a work around this?
