Hi,

Thanks for OS the GWT library for Raphael.js, I am a recently converted to vector graphics, and Raphael. One question comes, not that I strictly need it , but it helps when adapting js examples to GWT, will there be a new version to support the v2.0 release?

If not do you have any idea how difficult it would be to support the new version with GWT? I have no idea what are the differences between the releases. It looks like there is more support for animations in the new one.

Thanks,

Thomas

Hi Thomas

I don't remember exactly, but I guess that changing the Raphael JS from 1.1 to 2.0 doesn't cause any problems in the current version of Raphael-GWT, so if you want to use any new functionality it is just a matter of changing the JS files and create the new JSNI methods on the RaphaelJS.java file. (if I'm not mistaken)

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Nuno

hey! raphael API has changed from 1.x to 2.1.0, for instance it adds some new useful methods and chaged some method signatures.  raphael4gwt project supports latest version of raphaeljs plus many useful extensions like graphael, raphycharts, svg filters, eve, etc.  It is totally independent and different from raphaelgwt, for example it do not depends on GWT Widgets but on DOM Elements and it is 100% native (using GWT overlay types) and therefore adds a virtual 0% overhead. Hope this information can help anyone getting started using raphael with gwt.
