Dear Members,
Soon you'll receive a program and dues statement for the upcoming RKSG meeting scheduled for June 12-14, 2026. Chris, John, and Paolo are just putting on the final touches on the program.
In the meantime, I'm writing now to encourage you to check if any of your published books are part of a legal settlement Anthropic has entered into with publishers and writers. As I understand it, there was evidence to indicate that Anthropic used pirated books to train their AI bot, Claude. If your work was obtained illegally you are entitled to compensation, but you must complete a very simple, one-page claim form by the end of March. You can find out if your work is included by using the search box at the website. Here's a link for more details.
I realize this is an unusual email (actually considered not sending it) and that many of you are likely well aware of this settlement, but I was surprised by the number of well known psychoanalytic books involved and I didn't want any of you to miss the deadline if your work is part of the settlement.
Hope to see you all in June.
Craig
