default user for rapache

i need the r-script called by rapache to write and read a file. i would like to have rapache to own the folder, but i am not sure which user rapache is using? is that the apache user? or a different one?

It would be the apache user. Depending on your OS it has different names. For example, In Debian based Linux distros it would be www-data,
