In life, Angel Dust, then named Anthony, was a gangster and member of a notorious Italian crime family based in New York City. He was naturally raised into the lifestyle of a mafioso, thus all he knew was that kind of life. He was the son of mafia don Henroin, the younger brother of Arackniss - who was favored by his father over him -, and the twin brother of Molly. Growing up, Angel was mentally abused by his father and brother and his mental health declined massively when he was drafted into the military during World War II, where he witnessed the horrors of war first hand.
