MeraPehla Pyar is a Pakistani television drama series aired on ARY Digital. It is written by Syed Zain Raza and Jewairia Hafeez, directed by Sohail Javed, and produced by Asif Raza Mir and Babar Javed. It stars Faysal Quraishi, Shazia Naz and Sana Javed.[1][2]

Hamid and Amna have arrived from Islamabad to visit their son Taha, his wife Aisha and their nine-year-old daughter Hira. Amna notices the consistent absence of Aisha from the house and it is obvious to her that her granddaughter is being neglected. Taha has been married upon his strict, yet loving mother's wishes to her niece, Aisha who is struggling to balance her career as a model and is over wrought by her work commitments. Taha is a compassionate and compromising husband who understands his wife's commitment to her career and he tries his best to fulfill a balance between his job and the house and ends up playing the role of both the mother and father to their daughter. Taha's charm also extends at his workplace as his co-worker Zara is enthralled by his ability to manage his work and married life; however he makes it very clear to her that she is just a colleague to him. However, for Taha things are not going well in their marriage as Hira begins to feel insecure about her mother's love and neglect causing some full on confrontations between Taha and Aisha as they struggle to maintain a balance in their married life.

The show's theme song Naina Tere was composed by Shiraz Uppal and sung by Shiraz Uppal and Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch with lyrics by Sabir Zafar. The song plays in the last episode during Taha and Maira's wedding.

The series tells the story of a miserable couple named Saim and Haleema. Saim does not like his wife, Haleema and never loses any opportunity to humiliate her. An egoistic, frustrated husband and wife with a never-give-up spirit, Yahan Pyar Nahi Hai is going to set all your relationship doubts to rest. Saim, the self-important husband, is played by Junaid Khan.

Saba Qamar portraying a loving and honest wife, Haleema. The show in the initial stage moves on with the daily arguments between Saim and Haleema. Saim being a doctor is a high-end individual contrary to his wife Haleema who is backward and finds it difficult to keep up with trends. Saim never respects Haleema and belittles her by behaving rudely. All of this messed up their lives, even more, when her cousin Shumaila joins them, portrayed by Mawra Hocane, and only to fan the flame.

Shumaila is one beautiful, young and intelligent (read cunning) girl who lures Saim in her love. Despite a disdained past, Saim fell for her and was unable to see her through the veil, only later when he saw her with her ex. The show has an intense and intriguing drama where Saim does not bat an eye on Haleema, continuously humiliating her belittling her. Haleema, on the contrary, is a woman of vows, honesty, and determination. She tries all she could, to make up with Saim, but fails miserably. Later, Haleema discovers her talent and copes up to the advanced society-contrary to her past where she was just a school pass out who was unable to match modern trends.

To sum it all, the story ends in a much-expected way - the honest one gets respect and the dishonest loses - it keeps the viewer glued to it. Nowhere has the show tapped the viewer's uninteresting nerve, but rather came out with real intense drama and a well-portrayed plot. The final episode, being the hammer on the nail-head, sums it all pretty well when retaliation and introspection come in. It is here that Saim realizes his mistakes.[3][4]

The series originally aired on Hum TV in Pakistan. It was also aired in India on the Zindagi TV channel, from 19 October to 29 November 2015.[citation needed] It reran on Hum 2 (closed down since) in 2012.[citation needed]

Do you remember watching a Pakistani TV drama in the recent past that has not repeatedly showcased a marriage, divorce, an extra-marital affair or families waging war over a couple's union? One of the primary reasons to watch Yun Toh Pyar Hai Bahut (YTPHB) is that in the span of 22 episodes the plot has steered clear of any engagement-wedding-divorce drama and not a single wedding or divorce has been portrayed in any episode yet. This is an intriguing enough reason to watch this show.

YTPHB, starring Hira Mani and Affan Waheed, has been written by Aliya Bukhari and directed by Kashif Saleem. The serial has several merits and is a must-watch for those interested in a storyline that tries to balance the fine line between off-beat yet mainstream storytelling along with potent social messaging.

It was a pleasant surprise to find Hira Mani playing Aima, a refreshingly feisty, no-nonsense lawyer. Aima is an educated, aware, fearlessly ambitious, determined and persistent young woman who is outrightly blunt when it comes to giving someone a piece of her mind. That being said, there are several moments where she expresses her vulnerability and hurt and those scenes add layers of complexity to her character.

What is most interesting (and several fresh graduates, especially women, will identify with this) are the scenes that depict Aima's job hunting challenges as she goes to one job interview after another.

A senior male barrister then rejects Aima on the basis of her gender (Episode 5). He says that while he is not opposed to women working, he doesn't have any women on his team because in his experience, women can never fully dedicate themselves to any profession, especially law, and that their careers are never a priority. He insinuates that no matter how excellent or credible a woman's qualifications and capabilities may be, she will always give importance to domestic responsibilities over professional ones. Aima points out how narrow minded his approach is during her interview.

Aima is shown as the responsible older daughter who also supports her family financially. She rejects a marriage proposal from her first cousin and love interest Zain (Affan Waheed), stating that marriage is not a priority for her and she needs to establish herself as a lawyer before she can commit to marriage. Zain is a struggling musician who fails to make ends meet and Aima tells him to get a stable job before he considers getting married.

The direction is most notable in emotional scenes where, for a change, we do not see anyone crying buckets or using foul language. Instead, all the characters use alternative and nuanced expressions of hurt, either through anger, extreme ambition, impulsivity or curt dialogue embellished with overtones of stress and conflict.

YTPHB uses different storytelling devices other than sister rivalry (Jalan, Qarar, Kashf, Yaariyaan, Thora Sa Haq, Mere Harjai), cousin marriages (Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay, Thora Sa Haq, Aahista Aahista, Madiha aur Maliha, Maat), extra-marital affairs (Fitoor, Bandhay Ek Dour Se, Qayamat, Mere Paas Tum Ho) or stringent moral policing combined with melodramatic joint-family sagas of revenge (Ishq Hai, Baddua, Qissa MeherBano Ka, Anaa, Diyar-e-Dil).

YTPHB not only shows the challenges and trauma faced by a single mother but also makes it a point to highlight what a difficult job parenting can be. It brings forward the turmoil that parental separation and abandonment brings to both a spouse and her children, as well as how the absence of a father figure can deeply impact the personalities of children. The bond that Aima shares with her mother as the supportive daughter as well as the elder sister is inspiring and deserves to be seen more on TV as opposed to the cringeworthy sister rivalry, endless mother-daughter squabbling and helplessness shown in most Urdu drama serials.

For once, the male protagonist (played by Affan Waheed) is not a creep. He understands that Aima's no means no, he does not stalk, threaten or harass her, nor does he attempt to commit suicide to emotionally blackmail Aima or her family when she breaks up with him due to a misunderstanding. Zain never discourages Aima from working, nor does he ever make unreasonable demands (which should be a given but unfortunately isn't in dramaland). Zain is a character who, outside the world of romance, is honest and forthright towards his passion for music and rejects a tempting and lucrative offer of an album launch from a rich girl who is smitten by him.

Yun Toh Pyar Hai Bahut is definitely worth a watch and is a story that has strong leading characters, commendable performances, a progressive storyline as well as condemnatory critique on several social issues with some poignant scenes and memorable dialogues that will prove to be heartening to watch.

Fans who were desperately waiting to see Maheer and Saad together were over the moon to see the former finally choosing Saad as her forever partner. Their flirtatious confession scene is all the rage.

Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha, written by Sidra Sehar of Jalan fame and directed by Badar Mehmood, garnered a massive viewership and remained a top trending topic on YouTube in both India and Pakistan during its initial weeks. Produced by Fahad Mustafa and Dr. Ali Kazmi, the drama featured a stellar cast, including Hania, Wahaj, Zaviyar, Rabya Kulsoom, Angeline Malik, Salma Hassan, Shahood Alvi, Noor Ul Hassan, Shaheen Khan, Sabeena Syed, Ambar Khan, Ayesha Mirza, Washna Fatima, and Javaid Sheikh.

The song that is trending in reel right now is from the Pakistani drama starring Wahaj Ali, Hania Amir and Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz, Mujhe Pyar Hua Tha. It is an ongoing drama and Wahaj has become a heartthrob.

Sajal Aly, Mira Sethi, Bilal Abbas and Sheheryar Munawar along with a more talented star cast, Kuch Ankahi is a refreshing Pakistani drama which is a light-hearted take on women's progress in society.

The first trailer of Do Aur Do Pyaar is here. The relationship drama promises a good time at the theatres with its perfect blend of comic and emotional elements. The movie stars Pratik Gandhi, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Vidya Balan and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead.

In the short video, we see that Balan and Gandhi, a married couple, are experiencing some issues in their relationship. The next frame then sees both their characters indulging in an extra-marital affair, with Ramamurthy and D'Cruz's characters, respectively.
