Our review of this technology through our Responsible AI program, including the Sensitive Uses review process required by the Responsible AI Standard, led us to adopt a layered control framework: we restricted customer access to the service, ensured acceptable use cases were proactively defined and communicated through a Transparency Note and Code of Conduct, and established technical guardrails to help ensure the active participation of the speaker when creating a synthetic voice. Through these and other controls, we helped protect against misuse, while maintaining beneficial uses of the technology.
The fact that I read earlier that Microsoft was going to upgrade the WebForms Visual Designer combined with this new version of the .NET Framework makes it appear that many developers and organizations are still working with the original frameworks and intend to stay with them.
botframework is an official Microsoft tag monitored by the Bot Framework support team, and it has 7763 questions. Despite the generic-sounding name, it refers to one specific Microsoft framework and not to bots in general.
That being said, I think botframework should be a synonym microsoft-bot-framework and not the other way around. My reason is that microsoft-bot-framework makes it more clear that this tag is specifically referring to the Microsoft Bot Framework and not to bots in general. There have been instances of users using the botframework tag for questions that aren't related to the Microsoft Bot Framework, so this change would help alleviate that problem.
Until recently, the botframework tag and a few other tags had a special Bot Framework icon to indicate that they are company-specific. Apparently a subscription expired and must be renewed, and until that happens the botframework tag will likely be misinterpreted more often.
(Apparently there used to be an ms-botframework tag. It's sort of irrelevant now, but I wonder if it would have been better to keep that name instead of botframework when the two were merged: Merge tags [botframework] and [ms-botframework])
