Prefacing a story with [Fiction] as well as a particular Genre, [Filk/
Darkfic/Angst/Drama/Humor/Action] or whatnot may also be of
assistance.
Suggestions welcome, both for rules as well as tags.
[Ranma/Naruto][Fan-Art]
if there is adult content, it needs to be designated as well so that
people who SHOULDN'T be looking at Adult Content or would like to
avoid it are able to do so. [Adult Content] or [AC] is fine.
It is also due to note that any criticism provided to authors or
artists should be constructive in its scope. While there is some room
for negative criticism, if you are going to criticize mistakes an
author makes, you must also provide positive incentive. Rather than
tear the author down, point out the mistakes, and then proceed to give
supportive suggestions on how to remedy them.
Keep in mind that you as a reader or viewer may WANT things to be
different than the authors intent. If you are going to respond to
something that is NOT your interest, then do not attempt to change the
author's or artist's intentions behind their work. Stay within the
parameters of the work when you critique it.
An example of improper response is to respond to a Female Ranma story
with the intent to try and either tear the author down for writing a
female Ranma, or to try and convince the author that it is wrong to
write a story in that fashion and that they should write it in the
fashion of your liking.
There is some room for Cannon conversations and disagreements
therein. It is not in responding to a story. If you wish to have a
conversation concerning canon or character behavior, the rules are
subtly different. You are allowed to converse and disagree with
fellow ML posters, and constructiveness is not necessarily required in
these particular instances.
I hope this is clear, but further clarification will be given as these
are rudimentary rules to start off with.
