Can I paraphrase thai website? Since we are research information in thailand, the latest news is in thai version although there is some in English version. My thesis is about improving thai agriculture especially rice farmer. We might change the thesis while we find more info.

Sorry that i post my process to Phantastic Phive group late coz i don't know how to post until just now. i been trying to figure it out along time due to the fact that i never use gmail before.

Yes,

Thai websites are actually easier to paraphrase since you
automatically have to change sentence structure and interpret
meaning. I suppose its still possible to plagiarize so try to change
it a bit if you can.

bring this up in class so we can discuss with everyone.

no problem on late post

I find a Thai version book that gives many interesting views about the
freedom of Thai press [I'm doing a censorship]

am i able to use it as a source?
is it too risky to plagiarize?

Dear ajarn,

Our group 'Irresistible' is confronting a slight problem that is,
unfortunately, unlikely to be solved without your opinion.

We have modified an outline after the meeting last afternoon which
everyone agreed upon, however, one of the members (not it!) insists on
reasoning that our research paper 'Public Spaces' should merely be
focused on a 'park'.

The outline modification has been posted in our group forum. Could you
please kindly suggest whether focusing on such matter would be
appropriate? The majority voted it down, very blatantly, but we would
rather not ignore the minor voice. The subject will not make any
further agreement unless either of us is convinced.

We would very much appreciate your help.

Kind regards,
Om

Well, I would say that its still early and you can do research on both
parks and other public spaces
then, if you realized that parks are the most important you can still
discuss others as "you might think that a, b, or c are equally
important, but..." and then discuss them
or
parks will certainly be an important part of it so that team member
can focus on that aspect as part of the larger essay

but as i say, its still somewhat early, and its not like a total
change of topic
so keep digging and taking notes for another week and see if anyone
changes their minds based on what research you discover

A. Trevor,

I want to ask you about how to cite pdf files from the internet. I've
looked through the files that you've posted but there seems to be
nothing about citing pdf files. I've also tried looking on the
internet but all they give you for search results are how to cite MLA
in a pdf file. It would be of much help to our group if you can help
us find a way to cite pdf files on the internet.

I descended into the underground zone of the campus having an attempt
to get my individual research started. I had a heap of books around my
arms wondering how much these will be put into use. I was wondering if
the topic is to be only conducted under cultural sphere. Could is
possibly be something else -- say, revolution, war implication,
related history, etc. You answer will be much valuable.

it would help if you were more specific
if you were doing cambodia, i would allow you to write about the khmer
rouge era genocide
if thats what you mean
that is still a unique thing in regards to cambodia though not
specifically culture

Dear, Aj. Travor
I've got a question for the individual paper. I picked Nepal as my
topic but I've got a problem finding the cultural issues because they
are mostly about religious practice. for me, it's not very interesting
thing to write about. however, through my research, i found so many
interesting articles about the Maoist party and the end of Nepali
Monarchy.

so do you have any suggestion if it possible to focus on the issue
i've mentioned

Mr.trevor, for the first draft, does the whole essay need t sound like
one voice, or should it be left as the person wrote it? As i am teh
editor of the group, should i polish the essay (i.e: add transitions,
change the language so that it sounds liek one person is writing it?)
or should I just correct the grammatical mistakes? =)

A. Trevor

I wouldnt obsess over consistent voice or grammar too much at this
point
cant hurt to fix some grammar here and there so you save time editing
the final
but i wouldnt worry too much about voice and perfect transitions
between authors as this may not be the final final organization: i
might suggest some changes or we may decide break up certain
paragraphs and what not
its just a first draft

Mr.Trevor, so we should switch it around so that its always US first
and then Thailand? because if we did that, then we could first explain
how the US's system works and compare it how it currently works in
Thailand and then propose a change for the system in thailand.

Hi Aj. Trevor
For my Indy thesis, i find it's so difficult to find information about Iraq. I tried to look for Kurdistan, wrestling, and even shia religion. I find alot information about shia, but it's all about the history, belief, and practice, which is very boring stuff. There is rare about Kurdistan and i couldn't write an essay on it. Most information talk about the conflict, war, oil, politic, and different ethnic groups. Well, i think it's very complicated to understand what they are trying to say. It would take me more than months to understand them. The information is so huge that i could break it into thesis.
So if i could change to another country that you see fit and i can find alot of information about. Could you recommend the country to me. I spend many days and hour sitting in front of the computer searching google about Iraq, but i found not useful stuff. i am like a blind, who is waliking in the dark that i couldn't find the way out. Please, give me the light. If you can have another country, can i use the same source card and note card before?
Thank you

Dear A.Trevor
As I already handed in the final outline in class, but I found
while I write the first draft that I should change my part a bit for
more information :
II. Effects and problems of teenage pregnancy
A. Effects on mother
1. wanted child
- new family
- single parents
2. unwanted child
- abortion
- child being adopted
B. Effects on society
Because I already followed this, is it better in your opinion?

Ajarn Trevor,

I would like to explain the reason that the first draft for the group
'Irresistible' arrived two minutes late yesterday. I had been out in a
fairly uncivilised area above Chiang Mai where an internet or even a
wi-fi connection is extremely rare. Everyone finished the work hours
way before the deadline, but they were waiting for me to hand the file
over. Right after arriving, despite all the possible complications in
the process, I managed to find someone with a laptop and a bluetooth
connection via Nokia service and the file was finally compiled with
the rest of group members' and sent half an hour late.

I hope that our group would still get the early credits, otherwise it
is quite unfair. It is my fault and if you are to consider the work
late, the effect ought to be upon me and please let everyone else get
the extra 10%. All of us are working very hard for your course in
spite of the fact most of us are taking 6 courses this semester. The
time management has been a real big mess.

I would appreciate your consideration and response.

have handed it in by 12 pm, not 12 am.
i thought you would be done days ahead of schedule
somewhat of a disappointment from the team thats always ahead of

+7.5% instead of +10%

Good question to ask in group tomorrow.
I believe for interviews you should use parentetical citation if you
paraphrase, but not if you quote and put thier name in the text.
However, you must put the interview in the bibliography/works
refernced
for the survey you should introduce the survey the first time you
mention it "a survey of 100 working mothers or whatever..." and
thereafter refer to it as "the survey" and no parenthetical citation
is needed. However, you must put the survey in the bibliography/works
referenced page.

Due to the fact from New York City Department of Parks and Recreation

them to learn more about the history of the park and its construction
