Rangers 06 Blue Update

Hi everyone,

We are so excited to get the ball rolling again. Hopefully you have enjoyed some time away from the structured training. It is such a good thing to see the boys come back with renewed energy and excitement after the important break away from training. Here is what we will have, starting on Tuesday, January 5th.

As you know, the futsal arena shut down this past summer. There isn't a viable and affordable option for a futsal league that is near by us. Plus, generally speaking with futsal, the boys get 20 out of 40 game minutes due to rotations against teams that are very weak. I am excited to have our own little "futsal" against the quality players on our team, and on real turf so that the boys can use a real ball with their cleats, and they will get to play nearly the entire 75 minutes that we have the facility available to us.

1) Every Monday, with the exception of this coming Monday, from 5:00 to 6:15 we will have the WSP facility in Orem where we will do a little training, but mostly just play short sided games. This is a turf facility so bring your cleats. The address is 1022 S. State in Orem (right behind Summerhays Music in a warehouse). We hope you will treat it just like a futsal game where you would do everything possible to have the boys there. As always, just let us know if your boy can't be there. This is still our off season so having the boys involved in other things, sports, etc. is just as important as soccer. 

2) Optional Tuesday free play. While this is optional we hope you will have your boys to this Tuesday game night as much as possible. Every Tuesday, starting this Tuesday, from 6:00 to 7:00 we will have a futsal round-robin tournament. This will take place at Jerry Pennock's business, Complete Restoration, 1342 W. 200 S. in Lindon (right west of the freeway). Drop off your kids at the back and enter in the back at 6:00. This is a futsal court material so they need to be in futsal shoes.
