I will be in Hyderabad in the month of April and I am looking forward to a chapter meet. Before I share my ideas to get the chapter going, I would like to know if you have any thoughts for the chapter. Will be great if you can get started.

Every day we will share with you 1 message to share on your social network. All you need to do is share this. 70 people are part of this group and we invite you to join us.

Hi Smita,

Here are the list of activities which I can think of as of now:
1) A monthly contribution from all the member of this chapter. The monthly contribution could be anything from 100Rs. Moreover, they can withdraw as and when the money is paid back.
2) Know about different events in the event and try to participate so that people know about Rangde. We can wear the Rangde T-shirt and let others know.
3) Screen documentaries

I couldn't find the link where I can order T-shirts. Could you provide the link?

1) Regular meetups.

2) Plan few field trips in and around Hyderabad.

Sorry for the delayed response Anil and Datta. I was a bit unwell and have just got back to office.

The documentaries is definitely a great way to start and so are the meet ups. Field Trips - yes for sure, but the only hitch is that the place may not be close to Hyderabad. 

How about we start with a screening? I will send an email out to all social investors in Hyderabad - announcing the screening and to get support for the chapter.

Let me know how this sounds.

Is there a POC for the Hyderabad Chapter?
And can somebody give his/her phone number? Would prefer if it is a
cell phone number.

I had joined this group sometime back but have not had the time to add
any value yet.

Would love to identify ways in which I can support this initiative.

Here are the ways which I can think of on how to support Rangde:

1. If you have not invested yet in Rangde, I would highly recommend you to do so and become a social investor.

2. Speak to your friends and colleagues about RangDe concept

We are also planning to screen a documentary. If you have any other ideas on how to create awareness on RangDe and bring more investors into RangDe, please share it with the group.

Hi Anil,

Here are the documentaries we have:

1) In Search of Gandhi by Lalit Vachani - talks about how Gandhi has become irrelevant - traces Gandhiji's dandi march route - stopping by at places and talking to people about Gandhiji and his principles.

2) Children of the Pyre - about children working in the ghats - who are responsible for burning corpses.

3) India's forgotten women 

4) Bonsai People - Mohammed Yunus and the concept of microcredit as a social business

5) Nero's Guests  - Farmer suicides

6) Pink Saris - Gulabi gang - a group of women in a remote village in UP who take on attrocities committed against women.

We all are planning to screen a documentary soon. We would like to know if you have any ideas on where we can screen a documentary and which one to screen.

I'll be going to Lamakaan on this weekend and check on when it's free so that we can schedule a screening there.

In other news, I tried to get in touch with Lamakaan for scheduling the screening,but I didn't get any response. I even called them, but none seems to pick the phone.

If you or any of the members know of any place where we can screen the movie, please share it so that we can get in touch with them and book a slot.

Dear Anil, Aditya and all,

The screening can be organised anywhere. In fact, you can speak to your respective companies and check if we could use their cafeteria during the weekend. Corporates seem to be quite open to doing this.

We also just participated in the Bangalore Marathon and we enjoyed the run as well as the fundraising. Since there is an upcoming Marathon in Hyderabad, Arvind from our team was suggesting that this could be a great activity to get visibility for the chapter. 

Let us know your thoughts. We will be very happy to support you through this event.

Regarding the marathon, I love to run, hence I have already registered for the half marathon scheduled on 26th August.
