Does anyone have a home-made protein bar recipe to recommend?
I've made flapjacks (UK version) but they were too gooey 'cos I used molasses instead of golden syrup, and anything with chocolate just melts in the bike bag.
I suppose a whey or soy concoction might work, but anyway, any ideas?
I mostly take a turkey/cheese sandwich for lunch when riding as well shop bought fig bars for snacking, but I want to try to make up protein bars again.
Thanks.

I haven't tried rice cakes yet, but seems to be a blank canvas for sweet or savory.   My goto bar used to be PBH (peanut butter, honey - not pubic bone height), warmed so that it kinda melts.  Then mix in nuts, seeds, dried fruit, powders and freeze to harden.

"peanut butter, honey - not pubic bone height".
David, Is there intended some kind of ribald connection between 'honey,' and 'pubic bone'? Do tell.

haha.  just a common acronym share.   Rivendell sizes their bikes by your PBH (pubic bone height), I often have a PBH sandwich (peanut butter + honey) for lunch.  no connection
