UPDATE: Lael is expected to finish tomorrow evening in Chicago. Thanks to everyone who has shared photos and videos, we are excited to showcase them in the October issue of Between Controls.
Come join members of the Chicago and Indiana Randonneurs as we welcome her on the Lakefront Path and ride with her on her final miles.

Lael's finish last night at Grant Park in Chicago was absolutely amazing, spectacular and so inspiring. By estimates, there were probably about 200-300 people there in Grant Park to greet her as she arrived. Attached is a photo shared from a potential new Randonneurs USA member, Chris Rojas, who joined members from both the Chicago Randonneurs and Indiana Randonneurs in welcoming her back as well as on the route into Chicago.
Randonneurs USA will be sending her a card. Additionally, I am purchasing a pair of Randonneurs USA reflective ankle bands to put in the package. If any member who either rode with her or just wanted to send something small to congratulate her (ie, card, small gift from your part of the US, region, etc..) to put in the package, contact me directly off this list so we can coordinate this and my address. I would like to get this all ready to send to her in the next 4 weeks.
And thank you to all of the members who shared photos/videos with me for the June and future October issue of Between Controls. Here's the June issue when Lael left on Memorial Day for reference and photos received from members on her Chicago-east coast journey. I am working on the October issue of Between Controls with the photos/videos received upon her return to the US on her west coast trek on her way back to her finish yesterday in Chicago.
