A friend sent me a link to this event. Not RUSA sanctioned but could be a turn-key perm!

I'm impressed (sadden?) there's a place with so many Costcos in such a short distance. Actually looks like an OK route, minus the death defying parking lots.

Woah, there's lots of little ways to make a themed ride.  Thanks for the share Jake.

A few years ago, Sarah Rice and Phil Fox with the Chicago Randonneurs hosted a Taco Bell ride, point to point route that started in Wisconsin and finished in Chicago, hitting many, many Taco Bell stops.  An added challenge was to eat something different at each stop too....gulp....

Inspired by one of our local clubs that I ride with (Bonneville Cycling Club), we do have the Tailwinds 200k route that follow this same corridor. The Tailwinds routes use the commuter rail to ride either N->S or S->N depending on which way the wind is blowing that day. I rode the BCC version last year and we did have a great tailwind that day.
But alas, we have a 400k on the same day as the GGG this year, so no Costco dogs for me :(

I had one ride with a working title of, "prison to prison," because we have a prison in State College and the ride goes past a high security prison in Huntingdon.  The route goes right past the prison.  It's a nice road to ride on, but the state turned the first few hundred feet of the road into a parking lot.  So it feels a bit strange at first.
