I’m currently hunting states for my American Explorer award and will be in the Midwest this coming August. I’m driving out for an event at the beginning of the month and will be picking up a ride near Cincinnati on the fifth . On the way home, I would like to try to pick up Route 5059 starting in Pokagon State Park. Southern Michigan north eastern Indiana And because I have to drive all the way back to Seattle I want to try to wedge it in either at the end of the day on the 10th Starting around 8 PM Or early in the morning on the 11th starting around 6 AM
Rather unusual criteria and I wouldn’t be surprised to not find anybody, but if you’re interested in riding with a northwestern RUSA cyclist and helping him get to another state or two I’d sure appreciate the company . I’m no stranger to night rides. My average finishing time for routes that are not too hilly is somewhere between six hours and 6:15. If the route is hilly, I will probably finish with five or 10 minutes to spare .
