Greetings Group,
I have been using Wahoo units for many years. While navigating, I like to see more than just a breadcrumb, that is I also want a turn by turn cue, either as text or prompt on my map screen.
With my Wahoo (ROAM v 2), many routes over 200km suffer from "no cues available" due to the route being too long (known problem they told me last week). I also had early or late turn notices when I did have cues (always toward the back half of a route).
So I got a Garmin 1040.
But with the Garmin, unlike the Wahoo, custom or tweaked cues do not display as I typed them in RWGPS. After all, we are supposed to put on the RWGPS embedded cues that which appears on the actual street sign, not what Google (or OpenStreet) thinks is the name of the road.
And also, some cues (or "course points" as Garmin calls them) get totally dropped, like a U-turn on a recent 100km perm route.
I have used both TCX and GPX file formats with no change in results.
Suggestions?
