I go through periods where I cramp in the last 10km of a 100km. I started using Hammer Endurolytes when I was doing triathlons. and continued with Rando.
I "moved up" to Endurolytes Extreme. I typically start taking them 2 hours into a ride, and take - usually one -  every hour or two.
I think they make a positive difference, but there's no way to rule out the placebo effect :-).

Some feedback to Pam regarding Rolaids. I struggled with cramps on my last ride and I believe it was primarily because I was dehydrated.  But I’m not taking any chances. I’ve got a big trip coming up for some state chasing and I need to be in shape 100% every single time so I’m gonna take any advantage I can.  I stopped at the grocery store on the way to the ride today to pick up some Rolaids. The pharmacist didn’t think they had any and was trying to sell me some Tums and I said no not Tums. They don’t have magnesium and he said, yeah, they do and looked at the label and realized that they don’t.  Then I looked on the shelf further down and found the Rolaids which clearly state on the front that they have magnesium. I picked up a bottle, took one at the beginning of the ride, one of the halfway point and one of the finish. I was also diligent to drink at least one bottle per hour.  Between the two of them, I had no cramps today so yay.  I’m sold on
