RUSA members, 

Many RUSA Awards are batched, and fulfilled yearly, this includes The American Randonneur Challenge Award (two or more domestic 1,200kms in a year), The Coast to Coast Award (4 unique 1,200 kms in a life time (repeatable)), The SR 600km Medal (can earn multiple per year), and the K-Hound Award 10,000kms in a calendar year). 

These Awards are customized, to some extent, they all include the riders name, and the Award name. Some include the year, the ride name, event logos and more. 

These Awards go though an assembly line process, often using many RUSA Volunteers, the entire batch can not move to the next process, until all Awardee’s Awards have made it through the last process. In an effort to to help things move along quickly, if you’d like one of these Phisical Awards, please fill out the application (if there is one) and purchase it. In some cases you do not get recognition for earning an award unless the application is filled out.

The RUSA web team has disabled the American Randonneur Challenge Award application, in an effort to automate it, which should be completed in a week. You’ll have to wait to purchase this Award, until the web team has completed that process. 

The Coast to Coast Award requires an application be filled out https://rusa.org/cgi-bin/awards_GF.pl?type=c2c 

The SR 600km Medal can be found, by going to the RUSA online store, clicking “Award and Medals” then scrolling down to the year that you earned that ride. You may purchase prior years, if you like. 

The K-Hound Award is automatic, unless you are using Foreign 1,200kms to supplement your RUSA k’s, in which case you’ll have to fill out an application https://rusa.org/cgi-bin/awardapp_GF.pl?awdtid=36&mid=390

Many of RUSA’s Phisical Awards are batched, and fulfilled yearly. If any of the below, are ordered after the end of the year, it’s likely that they will not be fulfilled for a year, as onesies are difficult for the vendors. 

This includes The American Randonneur Challenge Award (two or more domestic 1,200kms in a year), The Coast to Coast Award (4 unique Domestic 1,200 kms in a life time (repeatable)), The SR 600km Medal (can earn multiple per year), and the K-Hound Award (10,000kms in a calendar year).

If you have any desire to purchase - The American Randonneur Challenge Award (two or more domestic 1,200kms in a year), The Coast to Coast Award (4 unique Domestic 1,200 kms in a life time (repeatable)), The SR 600km Medal (can earn multiple per year) for this year or past years, please do so promptly, preferably this week, we’d like to get to working on the Coustom artwork for these, once the art work is done we’ll email you a proof for you to approve then it’s off the the fabrication shops. 

Please remember that you actually have to apply for the Coast to Coast Award, it’s not automatically awarded.  

For the K-Hound Award (10,000kms in a calendar year), we’ll do those next and would like you to purchase yours if you want one, by the end of this year, please.
