This being the year before PBP, we sure have a lot of 1000ks on the calendar.  If you're looking for an option in the Midwest, I'm hosting one!

Hi there,

In recognition of America’s 250th anniversary, Detroit Randonneurs will proudly dedicate all our 250‑mile (400K) rides to this once‑in‑a‑generation celebration.

I’m also excited to introduce our new DR 100K events. We’d be delighted to host you at both distances throughout the season.

TWO THUMBS UP

From the blue sweep of the St. Clair River to the quiet inland roads that wind through farm country, 2 Thumbs Up celebrates the beauty and character of Michigan’s Thumb region. Based in Port Huron, this event offers a refreshing mix of waterfront views, peaceful rural stretches, and the unmistakable charm of Michigan’s shoreline — the St. Clair River, Lake St. Clair, the Detroit River, and the greater Detroit area.

Routes are smooth, fast, and thoughtfully designed to highlight the best of the region. Whether you’re building toward a season goal or simply enjoying a summer adventure, 2 Thumbs Up delivers a memorable ride with plenty of open sky and open road.

SANDY BEACHES

From the wide, windswept shores of Lake Michigan to quiet Amish farmlands and the gentle rise of vineyard country, Sandy Beaches showcases the very best of southwest Michigan. Centered in Grand Rapids, this event is known for its remarkably flat terrain and generous use of regional bike paths — many freshly resurfaced and perfect for long‑distance riding.

This year’s feature is a full 1000k, supported by additional options at 600k, 400k, and 200k. Whether you’re chasing a big goal or simply savoring the scenery, Sandy Beaches offers a smooth, enjoyable way to cover serious miles.

We look forward to riding with you this season.
