For those of you who don't fly with your bike as luggage, what is your plan to get it to France?  I think I recall from last time a group from Seattle had bikes shipped to Victory Cycles (I might have the shop incorrect) for assembly.  Was that through a service or did ya'll just call them to arrange it?

For context, last time I flew direct, but this go around might not be a direct flight for me and I don't trust airlines to have my bike make a connecting non-direct flight. I might travel with my wife afterwards which would be significantly more complicated if I have a giant bike case with me, so I'm looking for alternative options.

Thanks all,

Josh

For travel afterwards, most large airports have storage facilities. In 2015, We took the train from Paris to Frankfurt, and I left my bike (S&S coupled, so not quite a giant case), there for a couple weeks, and picked it up for the flight home. Cost of storage was pretty reasonable - especially in comparison to the hassle of dragging it around.
