Ordering from Grand Bois

Has anybody ordered recently from Grand Bois in Japan? I placed an order over the weekend, received an email confirmation from Grand Bois, and was told to expect an email from PayPal with a total for payment. Haven’t received that second email yet.
Anybody else have any recent experience? How long did you wait for the PayPal email?

Today is Health and Sports Day in Japan, which might give reason for their facilities to be closed.
I recently purchased a van from Japan, and was often caught-out by Japanese holidays and vacations. Good for them!

I placed an order with Rene Herse on September 30 and my order isn't even in their system yet, so honestly I'd not be too hot and bothered about a single day's delay.

You’re right. I was just expecting a more or less auto-generated email see I was concerned when it didn’t come sooner.

P.S. Prices on their web site are great! They list a 700x28 standard casing tire for about $27. Shipping is pretty cheap as well.

Hi Eric,
I'm a fan of Grand Bois tires. Something to consider for the future: Scott Davis is who I would term a US rep for GB. A couple of times a year he places orders from GB (which he announces on the ibob list - perhaps Riv list as well). Scott may have tires on hand which would speed up your delivery time. Pretty sure I've paid him the same price GB charges.
