Hello Randos & Bobs,

It’s a Rando year!

I am beyond being able to consider long rides and want to move this wonderful bike along to someone who will ride, appreciate and care for it.  And maybe even ride it for PBP 2027!

It is in excellent condition with minor wear befitting it’s age and miles.  There are some spots where I have retouched the paint but no dents dings or other issues of note.

I believe it to be one of the last 700C Rando frames Peter built before concentrating on 650B builds.  In fact, the first four pictures on Peter’s flickr site are details of  taken by me when I first received the frame.

The frame is 63cm (c-t) x 57.5 (c-c).  The saddle height in the photos is 76cm.

On my bathroom scale the weight as shown (with saddle, rack, lights, fenders, pedals and cages, but without the front bag) is 22.2 lbs.

Additional photos are here.  They show some details and also various builds over the years.  Currently the drive train is cabled 11spd Campy Record Ergo.

The GB front bag is included, as Peter built the rack and support specifically for it.  Note that there is also an RH decaleur mount for a taller bag.  The left chain stay has been drilled to enable internal wiring or a dropout mounted tail light should one be desired (there is one visible in one of the photos).  The light on the seat post is battery powered.

The saddle and pedals are not included.

Shipping charges are in addition at actual cost.

Please be in touch with questions, interest or for more information.

Thanks for looking!

Perhaps you mean Brian Chapman?  And yes, his work is also extraordinary.

Both do their own paint.

That’s a stunning bicycle.

I think the only ‘constructeur’ to rival PW is Mark Chapman.

It’s a toss-up.

Does PW paint his bikes? I don’t recall. Mark does, maybe that gives him an edge? Splitting hairs for sure.
