Central/Western NY Region Upcoming brevets

The Central/Western NY Region will be hosting an upcoming series of rides this summer. Most of the rides take place in the Finger Lakes region of New York which is especially nice to ride in during the summer as it usually does not get extremely hot. For those of you riding LEL or 1,000/1,200k rides, these might fit into your schedule especially since many of the routes have significant climbing.
There are all sorts of fun tourist places/events for you and your family to take advantage of, including over 300 wineries, farmers’ markets, museums of all types including the Corning Museum of Glass, the Kodak Museum, Glenn Curtis Museum and the National Soaring Museum, 11 Finger Lakes, Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (one of the largest bird watching spots in the world). https://www.visitfingerlakes.com/

The Around the Finger Lakes 400k starts/finishes in Ithaca, NY on May 31. This ride travels within wheel touching distance of all 11 Finger Lakes.

Stuart’s 600-June 28th-from Ontario, NY
This route travels up toward St. Vincent on the Canadian border and down through the Tug Hill plateau and then back to Ontario

A revived route which has not been run in at least 15 years from Perry, NY to Conneaut, OH and back through Erie, PA. Knock off three states for the American Explorer Award

Paul’s Niagara Loop-July 26th from Ontario, NY

Skips Niagara Falls to avoid the tourist congestion, and uses a longer day two loop, largely based on the Women’s Rights route to make up the difference. This changes the loop Day1/Day 2 split to be about 350k/250k.
