A (relatively) cheap "workaround" is to buy a sport watch, such as a Timex Ironman, Casio, etc. and attach it, via the watch band, to your helmet though one of the helmet ventilation holes so it is close to your ear. If one sets the continuous timer to go off every 15 to 20 minutes, you should get the reminder you need. DISCLAIMER: I have to admit that I have only observed others using this technique as I'm sure that after 90 hours of hearing this beeping going off every 15 minutes, I'd go bonkers. I use my 15 minute timer to wake me after my "power naps."

That will work for four days (obviously). I suppose I can pester some electronics students until they solder something, but I was wondering if there are any acceptable watches around.I'm prefer a cheapish solution (no 5000$ Rolexes, please).I'd like the alarm to be very easy to set (one handed, on the bike, something that auto repeats every 20 minutes would be even nicer).I just bought a new GPS (Etrex20), so I'd rather not invest into a new one - but for the sake of completeness: sure, post if one of those can do it as well. Thanks :)
My Timex Expedition watch (~$50) can do this, including the auto-repeat, although the beep is quiet and just beeps once and flashes the backlight (I just tried it; I'd never used that particular feature.)

I had an old Timex Ironman, which worked quite well - set and forget. When it finally gave it up, I found an interval timer app for my phone and set it to go off ever 15 minutes. Worked reasonably well, and, since I had the phone anyway, it wasn't something extra to be carried.
