I have noticed that some Selle An-atomica saddles are much cheaper
than ones offered in their web site: about US$127 vs $179.98. Most of
them are from China. Are they fake? Or do they now make the saddles
there?

I have tried Brooks B17 Imperial. Unfortunately I have problem to fit
this in my bike: not enough setback. Even with the newly purchased VO
seatpost (31mm setback), it is still not enough for my current saddle
height setting. It was just enough before lowered the saddle height
according to the bike fitter's suggestion.

My current saddle -- Specialized Romin -- is good for one-day ride,
but it's too hard, which creates some pain due to the pressure, for
multi-day riding.

sounds like the problem at this point is not just the saddle, but the bike size.  if you can't get a saddle to fit with a 3+cm setback seat post you may want to think about a different frame.  did your bike fitter mention anything about a less steep seat tube angle?  you can always adjust for reach with a stem, but it seems like you're running out of options with seat to bb offset.

Can't comment on the pricing.

Although I really like this seat, I've had a problem with the rails
bending (now on my third one..all covered by Tom Milton on warranty.
Don't know current warranty policy). I no longer set it very far back
and hopefully it won't bend. So if you need it set back a long way on
the rails I'd be careful. (BTW: I'm not particularly large nor do I
take this off roading)

I've had bent rails once as well, covered under warranty.  I just ordered another and was told they have just switched the rails to CrMo tubing to address this issue.  My new Selle will have the CrMo rails.

Regards,
Kevin

Never used Selle An-atomica to address the offset issue. But at one point I did order Ritchey "Wayback", which offers 45mm offset. However, it's rare to come by and expensive. I called one merchant who insisted they had it in stock. Then I paid 199 but still got the WRONG one(regular 25mm offset). I ended up ordering a custom bike with seat tube angle I desire. Before it's built up, I use Thompson 25mm setback seatpost with Specialized Toupe (or Riva) saddle setting all the way back just fine. My other seatpost becomes very unstable when setting saddle too far back.

I sell SAA saddles and as far I know they are all made domestically.
What is the link for the import knock-offs?
I have tried a few brand-x leather imports (Brooks knock offs) and they commonly have heavy mesh or fabric backing on the under side of the leather, which appears to NOT allow the saddle to confirm to you sit bones well.

The problem is two folds:
1. my bike frame is too small (effective 48) with steep seat-tube
angle (75 deg)
2. Brooks' very short rails as compared to others. It is 3cm shorter
than my Specialized Romin
see this photo: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_O8pum8JiUxw/TYCrLrsfZXI/AAAAAAAAPBc/_dZ51ZxWcnU/s800/2011-0315-203507.JPG

I didn't know the short-rail issue in all Brooks saddles before I
purchased mine. It'd better if this were mentioned in their
description.

The current saddle height setting was adjusted so that both knee
angles were within 25-30 degrees.

Does this have long setback? I'll check it out.

If you can read Chinese, do an advanced search of Selle An-atomica and
set the language in Chinese (Simplified)

The Titec Hellbent has 40mm of layback and is 1/3 the price of the Nitto. The cost is that it looks brutal (I have one).
