Replacement Campy shifters?

My wife is replacing the 10 speed shifters on a 2001 Record groupo.
She's considering new 10 speed Centaur & Veloce. Would she notice any
performance difference compared to 2001 Record shifters? If there is
a noticeable difference, how significant?
Rebuilding the original shifters is not an option due to crash damage.

I have two bikes, one with Veloce, on with the carbon Chorus
shifters. There is very little to choose between them. The Chorus
shifters may be a bit crisper to shift, but they are also several
years (5?) newer. Both work reliably. In short, little to choose
between them, in my opinion.
