Happy Friday!

FYI, we are down to the last week of team registration for the Cowtown.  Per http://cowtownmarathon.org/team-registration-infonew-page/, "All members of Corporate, Open and Military Teams must register online by January 22, 2015."

We are currently short one runner (have 4, need 5) for the Full Marathon (all set on the Half & Ultra).  So if you (or someone you know) would like to join our team and save $5, please sign up at https://secure.marathonguide.com/register/cowtownmarathon/index.cfm?Code=713ndX3

Thanks,
-Andy

Hey, is John Thompson (Hutto, TX) or Richard Reynolds (Benbrook, TX) on this list - or does anyone know them?  Need to get in touch with them for Cowtown packet distribution (Team pickup starts this coming Monday).

Also, James Reed and Blair Kuhnen - need your packet pickup details too.

Thanks!
-Andy

In football, you might get your bell rung, but you go in with the expectation that you might get hurt, and you hope to win and come out unscathed. As a distance runner, you know you’re going to get your bell rung. Distance runners are experts at pain, discomfort, and fear. You’re not coming away feeling good. It’s a matter of how much pain you can deal with on those days. It’s not a strategy. It’s just a callusing of the mind and body to deal with discomfort. Any serious runner bounces back. That’s the nature of their game. Taking pain.
