Rancher UI feature ideas

Hi,

I like RancherOS / RancherVM and the Rancher UI! 

Is a filter, search or group by feature planned? For example to filter by service or customer containers in the container view?

Docker container id (as shown with docker ps) should be added to the rancher container (details) view, because as service it's more than one look to find the service container (generated name like "d6189923-065f-4f48-a983-428406eb8ff9" instead of a readable name "project_serviceContainer_count".

After a first look at rancher services I like that way to build apps by project / service.

Also environment variables would be important. Because I use nginx-proxy to generate dynamic proxy config for containers with env variable "VIRTUAL_HOST=xyz" with port 80 | 443 exposed.

Would be nice to see more / all container details at the UI view.

Hi, 

We will definitely be improving our UI to contain more elements of the container as you have mentioned.   I believe both the container ID and ENV are available through our API and we just haven't added them yet.

We will also be including search functionalities in the near future.

Via view api the externalId contains the container ID and and env vars also there. Just not added to the UI at the moment. 

Can't wait to see the beta and later also the stable release :)
