Hi,

I try to boot RancherOS.iso from a usb stick (copied iso with dd to the stick, works fine with other ISOs) and external cd rom at my mini server hw (console only), but without success.

Is there another way to install it to the internal hdd? OpenWRT iso @ usb stick boots without problems.
Could I install RancherOS from a stick bootet OpenWRT? Or any idea why the RancherOS iso won't boot?

Also tried unetbootin for example, but best result was ending boot process after the word grub is viewed in the console.

Regards

Get it running...

qcow2 converted to raw, dd over ssh to the destination ;)
If I get console output working all should be fine.

Hello Ivan,

I have no time to take a look into it. I'll try it in the next few days.

At the moment I'm not sure if the the system is running stable. Before I converted and moved it from kvm to an hw machine it was much more stable.
It takes a long time to boot until ssh will available. Some times it gets no IP by dhcp (static ip lease). Because there is no console output I have to power it of and on again to make it boot again.

A bootable iso (dd iso to a usb stick) would be fine to do a clean new install.
