Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, Punjab, is organizing Thapar Summer School on Machine Learning & Deep Learning - Six weeks training program for UG/PG/PhD students of all the streams and all years from 9^th June - 18^th July 2025 in (Offline Mode Only).

Event Dates: 9th June 2025 to 18th July 2025 Mode of Event: Offline only Time and Venue: 09:00 to 13:00 | Monday to Friday | TAN Audi Target Audience: UG/PG/PhD students of all the streams and all years Number of Seats: 200 Last Date to Apply:  31st May 2025 Registration Fee: Rs 4200 + 18% GST =  Rs 4956 Accommodation will be provided in Thapar Hostels on a payment basis. Need to pay separately in TIET-Hostel account. Information communicates soon. Accommodation Plans: A. Thapar Student (Hostelers) Rs 16,200 (2S AC Room + Meal) B. Thapar Student (Day Scholars)/ Outsider: 20,000  (2S AC Room + Meal) C. Per day basis: 750 (1S AC Room + Meal) or  Rs 650 (2S AC Room + Meal) Highlights of the program: Learn Python and R programming languages Learn Machine Learning (Decision Tree, Random Forest, SVM, Linear Model, etc.) Learn Deep Learning (CNN, RNN, LSTM, GAN, Transformers, Auto-encoders, etc.) Basics of Statistics and Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) Optimization Techniques (Random Algorithms, Genetic Algorithms) Hands-on practice on Image Processing, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, LLMs, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Services, Time Series, Dashboard Development (PowerBI, and Tableau) and Deployment of prediction models. Special sessions on Agentic AI and Mobile APP development. Projects: 5 Major projects and 15 minor projects. All projects need to be uploaded on github for showcase. 10 Machine Learning competitions on www.kaggle.com and top rankers will be awarded prizes.
