They are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to work on an exciting wildlife conservation project—developing an animal identification pipeline from drone video of mugger crocodiles using deep learning, and deploying it on mobile devices.

Tenure: 2 years (subject to performance review)
Remuneration: ₹1,00,000 per month
The work will broadly involve:
Processing and analyzing drone-captured video data
Deep learning for tracking and re-identification
Model compression/optimization and deployment (Jetson first, then mobile)
Supporting a mobile app deployment (Android/iOS; responsive UI + backend; Play Store release)
GPU management for training/inference
Teaching one 3- or 4-credit course per semester as per Ahmedabad University guidelines
Mentoring students, writing papers/reports, and presenting at conferences
Eligibility: PhD in Computer Engineering or a closely related area (fresh PhDs are welcome).
Desired skills: Python; PyTorch/TensorFlow; model compression; Jetson/embedded deployment; Android/iOS app development; GPU optimization.
