PhD Symposium – Call for Participation
The PhD Symposium at AKGEC 2026 aims to provide a vibrant and intellectually stimulating platform for doctoral scholars to present their research, receive constructive feedback, and engage in scholarly discussions with experienced academicians, researchers, and industry professionals.
The symposium is designed to support both recent PhD graduates (Degree awarded between 19th February 2025 and 18th February 2026) and ongoing doctoral researchers, enabling them to refine their research direction, strengthen their methodology, and enhance the overall quality and impact of their doctoral work.
Objectives of the PhD Symposium
- To provide mentoring and academic guidance from experienced researchers
- To encourage high-quality doctoral research and innovation
- To offer constructive feedback on research design, methodology, and contributions
- To promote interaction among PhD scholars, faculty members, and industry experts
- To help scholars prepare for high-quality publications
- To provide a platform for newly awarded PhD scholars to showcase their completed research, discuss post-doctoral directions, and explore opportunities for advanced research collaboration, funding, and academic/industry leadership.
Who Can Apply?
PhD scholars and recent PhD awardees (PhD awarded within a year) working in (but not limited to) the following areas are encouraged to participate:
- Green Energy Systems
- Power Electronics & Smart Grids
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
- Sustainable Computing
- Internet of Things (IoT) & Cyber-Physical Systems
- Energy Storage & Electric Vehicles
- Data Analytics for Energy Systems
- Computing for Sustainability
Categories of Submission
🔹 Category I – PhD Awarded Scholars
(Degree awarded between 19th February 2025 and 18th February 2026)
This category is intended for scholars who have recently completed their PhD and wish to present their doctoral research outcomes.
Submissions under this category should include:
· Title Page
· Extended abstract
· List of Publications
· 1st page of published research paper
All merged in single pdf.
This category provides a platform to showcase completed doctoral research and gain visibility among academicians, researchers, and industry experts.
🔹 Category II – PhD Scholars (Research in Progress)
(Early-stage, Mid-stage, and Final-stage PhD Scholars)
This category is designed for scholars currently pursuing their PhD and working on ongoing research.
Submissions under this category should include:
- Problem statement and motivation
- Brief literature review
- Proposed or adopted methodology
- Current progress of the research
- Expected outcomes and contributions
This category aims to provide constructive feedback, mentoring, and academic guidance, helping scholars refine their research direction and improve research quality.

- 🥉 Third Prize – Best Emerging Research Work
🎓 All participants will receive a Certificate of Presentation.
