Dear Colleagues,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am pleased to share a Call for Papers for an upcoming Scientific Reports special collection titled “Cloud Computing Resource Management and Optimisation.” This collection aims to bring together recent advances in cloud computing technologies, resource allocation strategies, scheduling algorithms, and intelligent optimization techniques that enhance the performance, efficiency, scalability, and sustainability of cloud-based systems.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

• Cloud resource management and provisioning
• Task scheduling and workflow optimization
• Cloud–edge–fog computing integration
• AI/ML-driven resource allocation and orchestration
• Energy-efficient and sustainable cloud computing
• Resource prediction and performance modelling
• Virtualization, containerization, and microservices optimization
• QoS, SLA-aware scheduling, and service management
• Security, privacy, and trust in cloud environments
• Hybrid and multi-cloud resource management
• Load balancing and fault tolerance strategies
• Intelligent optimization and metaheuristic approaches for cloud systems

📅 Submission Deadline: 27 November 2026

Guest Editors:

• Dr. Sumit Bansal — Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, India
• Dr. Urvashi Rahul Saxsena — Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia
• Dr. Anshul Verma — Banaras Hindu University, India

We welcome original research articles that contribute to the advancement of cloud computing resource management, optimization methodologies, and intelligent computing paradigms. We would greatly appreciate it if you could share this opportunity with your colleagues, research groups, collaborators, and students who may be interested in contributing.
